Recently, Chang’an Academy, a new cultural landmark located on the banks of the Ba River in Xi’an, was officially unveiled. In this space that combines traditional architectural aesthetics with modern design concepts, the first application of titanium alloy materials has become the focus, marking a key step for titanium in the field of outdoor architecture in Xi’an.

This project is implemented by a subsidiary of the Northwest Institute. The core building “Huating” is inspired by classical brackets and uses traditional mortise and tenon structures to construct the main body. The exterior finish boldly uses high-performance titanium alloy plates. This material is known for its advantages such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, and strong durability. It is extremely suitable for complex outdoor environments, which not only ensures structural safety, but also gives the building a unique metallic beauty.
